INDUSTRIAL VISIT OF KC POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS OF MECHANICAL AND AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING AT MOHALI

The department of Mechanical and Automobile engineering in KC Polytechnic College Organized an industrial visit to MALKE RADIATORS Pvt Ltd. situated in phase 1, Mohali on 6 October 2018.A group of 30 students of mechanical and automobile branch of 3rd semester and 5th semester visited the plant in the supervision of mechanical department’s lecturer Er.Kulwinder Singh and Mr.Sanjeev kumar.
Our students visited all the manufacturing sections of the plant and get the practical knowledge how CNC Machine’s parts , oil tanks, mudguards,connecting rods are manufactured and assembled. Company’s HR manager S.K. Arora gave a brief lecture on the company profile stating that Malke radiator pvt ltd is one of the main supplier to SWARAJ TRACTORS Pvt Ltd. It is the leading business house Of three manufacturing units manufacturing Tractor Parts, Radiators, Gears, Sheet Metal Components for Tractor& Truck and supplying to leading OEM's in India since 1982. Some of OEM's are Swaraj Tractor, HMT, Swaraj Mazda, Indo Farm,
However;during the visit students also got an idea of various industrial engineering concepts including quality controls,manufacturing,designing of tools.It was an enlivening experience in which the students got a chance to get themselves familiar to the practical knowledge of the different stages of Manufacturing. This visit was to enhance the knowledge of students in spheres of manufacturing, production and quality control.The visit was an informative experience satisfying the curiosity of engineering students, where they could relate to the theoretical knowledge of the subjects to the practical application in industry.
Moreover, Er. R.K. Moom (Principal) also give more practical information to students that how they can get placed in a industry and become a successful engineer. He also motivate students to focus more on practical knowledge which would help them broaden their horizons in technical skills.Er.Parwinder Kumar (HOD ME &AE) also motivate students to learn more technical knowledge which would help them to broaden their concepts regarding mechanical engineering.
