EXTENSION LECTURE BY DR. SARLA NIRANKARI ON MICRO TEACHING SKILLS TEACHER ALUMNI (NOV 7, 2014)


It was a wonderful day for KCCE, as one day Extension lecture was organized on micro teaching skills. Dr. Sarla Nirankari principal Sant Baba Bhag Singh College of Education) who has served KCCE came as teacher alumni and shared her experiences with the students. Ms Kuljinder Kaur Principal KCCE welcomed Dr Sarla Nirankari with a bouquet of flower. Dr. Sarla Nirankari delivered her lecture on "micro teaching skills." She distinguishes the meaning between micro & macro teaching. As micro teaching is a scaled down teaching encounter where small class size is accompanied by small subject matter & just one skill is demonstrated at one time. She shared her knowledge about "the Various Micro Skills like Skill of Introducing a lesson, Skill of Stimulus Variation, Skills of Questioning, Skill of Illustration with Examples & Skill of Blackboard Writing." She demonstrates the various sills with real life examples. She also explained various levels of questioning. It was a good experience for the faculty and for the students of KCCE. Ms. Kuljinder Kaur Principal KCCE also thanked the resource person of the day and gave them token of love as a remembrance.
