Students learn Art & Life skills in Summer Camp “Vyaktitavam”

Nawanshahr: To enlighten the hidden potential and teach the students about life skills, KC Public School organized seven-day Summer Camp “Vyaktitavam” in its campus. 500 students partook in this camp and learnt various skills. Fun based value learning, Yoga & Meditation, Horse Riding, Dancing, Cooking, Event & Fest Decoration were some of the prominent activities in the summer camp.

To make the students aware about the power of Yoga & Meditation, special class of Yogacharya Noorie was arranged during camp. Students not only learnt the value of Yoga but also practice various Aasan. Horse riding was also a significant activity of camp. Students learnt Semi Classical, Salsa and Western dance forms in dancing classes. Summer Camp participants attended cooking classes also. In Event & Fest Decoration session, students gained knowledge of Rangoli Making, Candle Making, Gift Wrapping, Cake baking and Flower Arrangement.

Concluding function was organized on the last day of Summer Camp in which students showcased their skills which they have got during these days. Mrs. Shaveta Gandhi, Vice-Chairperson, KCGI was chief guest of the day.

Giving details about the Sumer Camp, Principal Dr. Munish Mohan Sharma said, “We have planned to provide platform to our students to utilize their vacations in a healthy way and we are contented that students have given immense response to our initiative”.

Echoing her views, Headmistress Navita Joshi said, “Vacations are suitable period for students to gain soft skills as they can put their whole-hearted dedication and concentration in their learning”. “We are planning to organize the Summer Camp at larger level next time”, she added.
