Seminar on Engineers Day in KC polytechnic College Nawanshahr
Science is about knowing ; engineering is about doing- Er.R.K.Moom (Principal)
As a part of celebration days KC Polytechnic College organised a seminar on Engineers Day that
is observed in India on 15 th September honor of Sir Mokshagundan Visvesvaraya who was born
on this day in 1860. All the students of this college were attended this seminar. Principal Er.
R.K.Moom presided over the function .In his presidential remarks Er. R.K. Moom pointed out
the extraordinary qualities of Sir Mokshagundan Visvesvaraya and urges the students to set him
as their role model in orderto be great engineers with technical areas and said � Engineers
stood on second place after God, whatever we used around us everything has been given by
engineers.
Engineering is not merely knowing and being knowledgeable; engineering is not merely
analysis, engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to
non-existent engineering problems. Although engineering is the creative application of science,
mathematical methods and empirical evidence to the innovation, design, construction,
operation and maintenance of structures, machines, materials, devices, system, processers,
and organization. Students paid their full attention on this day including Raja Kumar Dass,
Krishna, Sukhwinder, Babita ,Gulshan sang a songs and elaborate their views regarding this day
through their valuable speeches. Students gave famous examples given by engineers for
instance : mobile phone, laptop, I-pod,etc
Moreover; on this occasion Er. R.K. Moom (Principal), Er. Parminder Kumar (HOD ME/AE), Er.
N.K. Soni(HOD CIVIL), Er.Jyoti Chopra (HOD CSE), Er.HarpreetKaur (HOD EE), Ms. Monika
Parihar (HOD Applied Science Department ) and all the faculty members were also present.
