KC Group started campaign against women molestation

Women are considered to be decent half of the society, yet they live pathetic life. They fall victims to atrocities and criminal instincts of people of their own community. The recent case of 'Delhi Gang Rape' has brought the common persons on one platform to protest against such brutalities. KC Group of Institutions also began campaign against women molestation. KCGI Nawanshahr and KCGI, Pandoga took out rallies and organized seminar to spread awareness.

A Seminar on �Violence against Women� at KC Public School

Dramas on women atrocities shook the minds of audience

KC Public School organized seminar on �Violence against Women� in which protective measures were suggested to girls. Plays on dowry, female foeticide, rape, molestation were also shown and motivated the students to come forth to curb these menaces. Students also presented poems and songs in praise of women.

Program started with the speech of Ms. Poonam, Teacher, KCPS. Madam Poonam awakened the girls about their rights and persuaded them to fight for their rights. She suggested the girls to be educated enough if they want to live securely.

Principal Dr. Munish Mohan Sharma also spoke about the burning issue of women atrocities and call students to take oath to fight against such incidents. He encouraged the boys to step forward to rein in these kinds of incidents.

Suggesting the defensive measures, another resource person Ms. Kuljinder Kaur from KC College of Education said, 'Girls should not hide such incidents from their parents, rather raise the voice and even it is required to inform the police so that accused could be thrown behind the bar.'

Ms. Harvinder Kaur from KC College of Education advised the girl students to be aware of the people around you who are indulged in criminal activities and inform police about such persons. She said that crime accelerated only when we try to hide it.

Students performed the dramas on women atrocities and awakened the audience. Hymns and Poems were also recited at the occasion.
