Seminars on Teaching Skills at KCCE
Two-day Seminar Programme was held on Jan 15th and 16th, 2013 at KC College of Education under the supreme guidance of Dr.Rekha, Principal KC College of Education. This was an innovative initiatiative taken by Dr. Rekha for inculcating spirit of confidence among the students.
On Jan 15th, 2013 the seminar was on �Shift in Learning Environment� and �Micro Teaching�. For each topic, six speakers presented their power point presentations. The subject experts for the day were Ms.Ravdeep Kaur, Asst. Prof., BCM College of Education, Ludhiana and Ms. Kuldeep Kaur, Asst.Prof., BCM College of Education, Ludhiana. Ms.Ravdeep Kaur Concluded the topic �Shift in Learning Environment� by saying that now in the modern era we need to shift in Learning environment and must use various mode to teach our students. Ms. Kuldeep kaur summarised the topic �Micro Teaching� as the best device for the training of the teacher on both pre service and for in service level. At the end of the seminar they gave their valuable remarks to the students and gave appreciation certificates to the participants. The students prepared their topics under the guidance of their subject teachers.
On Jan 15th, 2013 topics of the seminar were �Process facilitating Construction of Knowledge� and �Alternative Education�. For each topic four speakers presented their power point presentations. The subject experts for the day were Dr.Tirath Singh, Principal Sacred Heart College of Education, Barnala and Dr.Vikas kumar, Asst.Prof. D.A.N.College of Education, Nawanshahr. After the presentations Dr. Tirath Singh expressed his expert views on �Learning as construction of knowledge different from learning as reception and transmission of knowledge� where as Dr.Vikas kumar gave his expert remarks on �Altenative Education�.
At last certificates were distributed to the participants. Students of the KCCE were highly satisfied with these seminars and appreciated the experts.
