Guest lecture On Internal Combustion Engine at KC Polytechnic College Nawanshahr

As a part of the activity of innovation/project Lab the department of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engg. Organised an extention lecture by Er. Gourav Chowdhry on the topic "Internal Combustion Engine" on 4-09-2018 under the guidance of Principal R.K.Moom. All the students of 3rd semester and 5th semester of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engg. attended the lecture. In his address Er. Gourav Chowdhry stressed the need for doing mini projects in lower semester before attending to do a major project in final semester.He demonstrate that in this modern era, we should have the knowledge of internal combustion engine as we use several automobile engines in our daily life. He demonstrate that Combustion is also known as burning and it is the basic chemical process of releasing energy from a fuel and air mixture and told that an internal combustion engine (ICE), is the ignition and combustion of the fuel occurs within the engine itsel and The engine then partially converts the energy from the combustion to work. He also demonstrates that there are two types of internal combustion engine namely as the spark ignition gasoline engine and compression ignition diesel engine. He also demonstrate the internal structure of combustion engine including its internal parts and material used and also explained its functionality in detail. Furthermore,he also explain the role of different parts of internal combustion engine in detail. Moreover,he share his industry experience with students and motivate them to do job as an engineer in various multinational companies.

On this occasion Er.R.K Moom(Principal),Er.Parwinder kumar(HOD ME/AE) Er.Vishal Chopra, Er.Gurpreet Singh ,Er.Kulwinder Singh,Mr.Daljit Kumar and Mr.Sanjeev Kumar, were also present in this lecture.
