Engineer's day celebrations at KCGI

This is my immense pleasure to inform you that "KC INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY" AND "KC COLLEGE OF POLYTECHNIC" successfully wrapped the Engineers Day Celebration on Sept 15, 2016.The function initiated with the blessings of Goddess Saraswati by Lamp Lightening Ceremony.

On the special day to commemorate the Engineers’ Day, KC Group of Institutions organized multiple events which covered Speech Competition, Waste Material Management and Open Quiz Competition based on General Engg.

 Speech Competition was organized to make the students explore the Roles, Responsibilities, Scope and Contributions of Engineers toward the society and to inspire the students for the countless contributions of Sir M.S Visvesvarya on whose birthday the day is celebrated. His services to the engineering field were recalled and students were explained how a source of inspiration he was for engineers across the country.

A special competitive event “Waste Material Management” was also organized in which students made creative projects by using different types of waste material. Students outperformed and displayed their technical talents in this event. An Open Quiz was also organized for the full student audiences.

The winners for the speech Competition were Sourabh Raj from C.E- 7th Sem (B.tech) who stood first, Sakshi from C.S.E- 7th Sem(B.tech) who secured second position and Rajesh from C.E- 3rd Sem (B.tech) who secured third position in the Speech Competition.

For Waste Material management Sunil, anil and Akshay (Team), from A.E- 3rd Sem (Polytechnic College) secured the first position with their project on “Refrigeration System”, Deep Kumar, Amit and Bobby from E.E-5th Sem (Polytechnic College) with their project on “Waste Paper Gun and Basket” secured Second Position and Pooja , Deep and Shikha from C.S.E- 7th Sem (B.tech) stood third in the Competition with their Project on “Light Effect Creativity” .

Campus Director Dr. B.S Sandhu shared his views on the importance of Engineers’ Day with the students. He gave so many learning lessons to the students where he also advised the students to keep updating their skills for their career growth.

Principal KCIET, Dr. Priyadarhi Jaruhar also appreciated the faculty members for organizing such noble events which would serve as source of inspiration and enlightenment. He emphasized the need to provide holistic education to young talents who are the future aspirants in the engineering field.

 Er. Pradeep Singh (Principal KCP),   Dr. Saroj Sharma (Dean Academics),  Col’ Rajesh Kanwar (Administrative Officer), Er. Balwinder Kumar (T.P.O) and Ms. Aarti Sharma (P.R.O) were among the other dignitaries who made this day a special memory by their contributions. HOD’s of all departments along with the Faculty Members were an inseparable part of this celebration.

Students were awarded with Trophies and Appreciation Certificates by the worthy Director Dr. B.S. Sandhu  along with his team. He congratulated the students for their Creativity, Confidence and remarkable efforts for making the function a sweet memory to carry home.
