INDUSTRIAL VISIT OF KC POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT AT MOHALI

The department of Electrical engineering in KC Polytechnic College Organized an industrial visit to Global Automation and Pneumatics Pvt.Ltd. situated at Mohali on 2 November 2019 .A group of 18 students of electrical branch of 3 rd semester and 5th semester visited the automation plant in the supervision of electrical department lecturer Er. Bikram Singh and Er. Zaftar Ahmed.

Our students visited companies plant and get the practical knowledge how automation control in done the plant. Company’s technical Head (Electrical department) Er. Harjinder Singh guided students throughout the visit. He gave practical knowledge about PLC which is used to control the electrical panels .He also gave a detailed lecturer on PLC Programming. Moreover, our students visited control room where control system of PLC SCADA system which is used for controlling the electrical panels..

However; during the visit the students also got an idea of various industrial engineering concepts including quality controls and testing of products. This visit was to enhance the knowledge of students in spheres of production and quality control. The visit was an informative experience satisfying the curiosity of engineering students, where they could relate to the theoretical knowledge of the subjects to the practical application in industry. To put to sea into; Er. R.K. Moom (Principal) also give more practical information to students that how they can get placed in industry and become a successful engineer. He also motivate students to focus more on practical knowledge which would help them broaden their horizons in technical skills. Er.Harpreet Kaur (HOD EE) also encourages students to take more interest in practical knowledge.
