INTRODUCTION
KC Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is being established as a part of KC Group of Institutions, Pandoga, Una (H.P). The institute has a pledge to nurture the requirements of various multinational and national Pharmaceutical companies and to deliver dynamic and creative professionals. The institute is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur and recognised by State Government of Himachal Pradesh. The KCIPS provides B. Pharmacy (4 years) and D. Pharmacy (2 years).

As the Head of Department, I am honored to lead a dedicated team committed to shaping the next generation of pharmaceutical professionals through our comprehensive and industry-aligned Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program.
In today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, the role of a pharmacist has transformed into a pivotal force in patient care and drug innovation. Our meticulously designed four-year curriculum builds a strong foundation in core disciplines — Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy — blending rigorous theoretical learning with hands-on practical training in state-of-the-art laboratories.
Our department fosters a vibrant ecosystem of academic excellence, research innovation, and professional ethics. Students are encouraged to participate in national seminars, industrial visits, research projects, and extracurricular activities that broaden their horizons and sharpen their skills.

Co-curricular activities play an important role in the life of students and they keep themselves engaged in a host of such activities. Sports and cultural activities are also part and parcel of the campus life. Details of these activities are as under:
Sports meet is an annual fixture of college to compete in athletic events, cricket and fun sports. The aim of the event is to give the students an opportunity to show their skills, abilities and talent in outdoor activities.
The College organized a Quiz in which students of the college were tested in general awareness as well as their awareness in respected fields.
The College celebrated the Fresher’s Day in a befitting manner. Existing students of the college welcomed the new students who joined in various classes. The event organized by the seniors witnessed cultural activities performed by both the seniors and juniors.
Industrial visits are an integral part of the college in which all the students participate. The industrial visit provides an insight into how companies work and also provide the students useful information related to the curriculum which cannot be visualized during classroom lectures.
Seminars by prominent personalities are conducted regularly in the campus for over all personality development of students.
The candidate should have passed 10+2 (class XII) examination or its equivalent from a recognised Board /University with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and any optional i.e.(a) Biology (b) Mathematics (c) Computer Science (d)Biotechnology. Candidates who have passed 10+2 (science stream) from National Open School (NOS) New Delhi are not eligible for admission in B. Pharma Course.
Admissions will be made strictly on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by H.P. University Shimla for the Session 2010-2011. In case the result of Entrance test is not declared by HPU Shimla well in time i.e. before the last date of submission of application forms, the candidate will have to furnish a copy of the result card of entrance test for B. Pharmacy Course through fax within 5days of declaration of result. Management seats (including seats remaining vacant after last round of counselling by competent authority in Private Un-aided Pharmacy colleges)
The selection of candidates will be made on in following manner
i. On the merit of entrance test conducted by HPU for Session 2010-11
ii. In case the seats remain vacant after exhausting /availing the merit, then seats will be filled up in order of merit to be determined on the basis of aggregate of marks obtained in PCB or PCM in 10+2 examination provided the candidate fulfils the minimum eligibility

Criteria for Admission to B. Pharmacy Course:
The candidate should have passed 10+2 (class XII) examination or its equivalent from a recognised Board/University
with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and any one optional subject:
Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Biotechnology.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 (science stream) from National Open School (NOS), New Delhi, are
not eligible for admission to B. Pharma Course.
