I take the immense pleasure and pride in heading this prestigious Polytechnic College, a unit
of KC Group of Institutions on path of a glorious success in the present movement of
providing technical education to largest number of students in rural as well as urban areas. I
joined this College in November 2013 after serving as Dean Academics , Head of Mechanical
Engineering Department and M.Tech. Co-Coordinator in KC College of Engineering &
Information Technology Nawanshahr.

character development. To achieve this, the management has provided all infrastructure

Sports and games are a regular activity at the K.C. Polytechnic College and conducts matches from time to time. The institution has sufficient material for conducting variety of sports activities. General Rules
As per the norms of Punjab State Board of Tech. Education, 75% attendance is compulsory to become eligible to appear in Examination. A student, who does not complete 75% lectures, will not be allowed to appear in the final Examination of the semester. Absentees will be charged fine as per norms of PSBTE.
Student who is continuously absent for more than 10 working days would be struck off from the institution roll & would be only re-admitted with the recommendations of his/her class in charge and after paying the re-admission fees.
Use of Mobile phone in the classrooms and adjoining corridors is strictly prohibited.
Drinking, Smoking & use of any type of drug is prohibited in college & Hostel.
Frequent absence from college will be taken as an act of indiscipline.
It will be responsibility of the student to keep his/her parents or guardians informed about his/her progress in the college.
All fees must be paid in advance before beginning of the semester. Non-payment of fees shall result into removal of his/her name from the college and deregistration with P.S.B.T.E. & I.T., Chandigarh.
It will be the responsibility of the student to keep the college informed about any change in the address and telephone number of his/her parents of guardians.
Demonstration and strikes are prohibited in the college. The students, however, may give suggestions or put up their grievances if any to the Principal. In case of any unruly action by the students and damage to any property or equipment in the campus, the concerned student or the group of student involved will be liable to pay the cost of damages with 10% service charges.
Fees once deposited will not be refunded.
Ragging of any student inside or outside the campus is strictly prohibited. Indulgence in ragging will lead to strict disciplinary action and to registration of a police case.
Disciplinary action will be taken against students creating nuisance of any kind prejudicial to the academic environment in the campus.
Breach of college rules or any other misconduct will render a student liable to disciplinary action including expulsion/rustication form the institute.
All legal disputes shall be under the jurisdiction of the courts of Nawanshahr
Training Placement
Training and placement is very important activity to enhance the interaction between the industry & the institution. The Training and placement cell arranges for practical training of the students with industry in order to complete the Diploma requirements. The students are also sent to various industries to familiarize with their production techniques. The cell is fully dedicated for arranging the placement of the outgoing final year students and organizes the campus interviews before the final Examination of the last semester.

Conditions:-
The candidates of all above categories must produce a Punjab Domicile Certificate.
Children of parents having annual income of less that Rs.2.50 lakhs from all sources shall only be eligible for seats under this scheme. A certificate issued by Tehsildar/Executive Magistrate is required for claim under this scheme.
For category (c) the candidates should also produce a certificate issued by Civil Surgeon of the respective district.
The admission will be carried out as per the AICTE policy guidelines by Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh after the regular counseling and the students already admitted through regular counseling will also be eligible to apply for fee waiver seats subject to fulfillment of other conditions.
The Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh will invite online application through separate form and counseling will be carried out manually.
The students already admitted in the Institution will be eligible to apply to Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh for taking admission under fee waiver category. However they will be eligible only for the seats available in their respective Institutions. In this way the students already admitted will not be able to change the Institution but they will have an opportunity to have a fee waiver seats in the same Institution and he shall be able to change branch/trade with in the same Institution provided a free seats is available in that trade/branch.
