A candidate must have passed the Matriculation Examination (or equivalent) from a recognized Board/University with the following essential subjects:
Minimum aggregate marks required: 35% in the qualifying examination (as per latest HP Takniki Shiksha Board guidelines).
Admission is strictly on the basis of merit in the “PAT” (Polytechnic Admission Test) conducted by H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharamshala (usually held in May).

Note: As per the latest Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) Education Regulations 2020, the primary qualification is a pass in 10+2 examination (science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
KC Polytechnic offers 3 year Diploma in Computer Engg. This program was started in the year 2010 with initial take of 60 students. The objective of the department is to provide knowledge of modern computing system with latest technology. The department is well equipped labs with the latest licensed software’s. It has 200 HCL Intel Dual Core CPU HDD 2180 @2.00 GHZ 1GB Ram having 24 hour 10 Mbps internet connectivity. All the computers are interconnected with LAN. The department is coordinated by Er. The department of Electrical Engineering is providing quality education at diploma level. Department has been updated with latest equipment’s available to facilitate the student have more exposure in technical field. It has extensive fabrication, calibration and testing facilities for carrying out industry, state electricity board & consultancy projects.

Mechanical Engineers design and develop everything of as a machine from jet to needles. Mechanical engineers specialize in area such as manufacturing, robotics, automotive etc. The mechanical engineers will analyses their design using three principles of motion, energy and force. The department has well qualified and highly motivated faculty members. All the labs are equipped with latest equipments.
Civil Engineering
Name of the labsApplied science is a bridge that connects pure, basic like physics or chemistry with engineering practices. Faculty and students in applied science employ fundamental physical and chemical principles to create innovative new technologies. The department tries to keep pace with rapid advancement in technology by providing well-equipped labs and by teaching the students the latest field. The theory and practical are taught by the idea of supporting their core Engg. subject and enhancing their understanding about every day sciences.
The Profession of Pharmacy has changed significantly during last few decades. The word Pharmacy has been derived from the Greek word “Pharmakon”, meaning medicine or drug. A pharmacist is the person who is expert on drugs .Pharmacy has evolved from the practice of preparing, preserving, compounding and dispensing of drugs to a patient and is a practice in which the pharmacist not only must understand the biological and chemical nature of drugs but also must be a knowledgeable health professional. With the implementation of product patent regime, more and more MNCs are setting up their base in India leading to more number of clinical trials and increase in employment opportunities.
Pharmaceutical Sciences is a recognized branch of study, the scope of which ranges from drug discovery to the delivery of drug in suitable dosage forms to the patient. Pharmacy is a multifaceted stream covering many areas of medical and applied sciences, the most important being Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Anatomy & Physiology. Sports and games are a regular activity at the K.C. Polytechnic College and conducts matches from time to time. The institution has sufficient material for conducting variety of sports activities. The institution also sends students to participate in inter Polytechnic Sports programmes.
Cultural ProgramThe institute organizes regular cultural events such as Bhangra & Gidha & also sends teams to participate in Inter-Polytechnic Cultural Competitions.
CafeteriaThe institute has a well-furnished Cafeteria with all the amenities. Eatables are available reasonable rates fixed by the management.
Certain rules specific to KC Polytechnic are listed below. General rules applicable to all students of the KC Group of Institutions, Pandoga are provided in the main prospectus rules section. Students are advised to familiarize themselves with these regulations and observe them during their stay on campus.
As per the norms of the H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharamshala, the institute follows a semester system consisting of six semesters.
The academic session begins on 25th July every year.
Students absent from class without permission from the Principal may be fined ₹5 per period.
If a student remains absent for 10 consecutive working days, his/her name may be removed from the institute roll. Re-admission can be granted in the same semester upon submission of a request and payment of a ₹1,000 re-admission fee.
Students remaining absent for one continuous month will have their registration cancelled. They may be admitted again in the same semester in the following year.
Students debarred due to shortage of required lectures may be re-admitted in the same semester during the next academic year.
All students must strictly follow the rules and regulations of the H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board.
All students must maintain two sets of summer and winter uniforms.

Training and placement is very important activity to enhance the interaction between the industry & the institution.
The Training and placement cell arranges for practical training of the students with industry in order to complete the Diploma requirements.
The students are also sent to various industries to familiarize with their production techniques.
The cell is fully dedicated for arranging the placement of the outgoing final year students and organizes the campus interviews before the final Examination of the last semester.
